Lovely location restaurant disappointing

Location and facilities were lovely .

Did not enjoy the dinner in the evening. Tried the set menu and was extremely disappointed . Cheap food not well done .

Great place for couples, in quiet rural setting.

The breakfast buffet was extensive and of high quality, strongly recommended. The hotel is much bigger then expected, there are two rows of rooms in the garden for a total of around 25 plus rooms in the old main building that is very characteristic. All rooms in the garden are ground level, spacious and with a terrace without a view. The internet/wifi was very poor in the garden rooms, If you plan to use it from your room, try another hotel. The location is very quiet but doesn't invit an evening walk to the old town s road are dark. Car transport in the evening is required.

Very poor internet and when we arrived on Sunday afternoon, the area and lawn were littered with the proof of a large party under a massive party tent.

Beautiful stay in a nice hotel.

Mas Salvi is an oasis of calm right by the best villages in Baix Emporda. The hotel is really nice, the service is good and the restaurant serves tasty typical food from the area. We stayed in a junior suite which is spacious and had an amazing view of the sunset.

Certain areas of the property are a bit dated. The restaurant only offers a closed menu at night and breakfast is a tad expensive, which makes the whole stay a bit expensive compared to the value of what you get. The restaurant was actually almost empty despite it being the peak of august.

Beautiful property.. very poor management

The quality of food it’s good and the rooms are big and clean.. the property I’d beautiful but.. it is nit managed professional or 4 stars. The swimming pool area it’s disaster.. in the morning you find the wet towels and all the dirt and mess from the night before.. many children for only one small pool at 5 cm from the terrace… you eat, meantime they are still cleaning the floor of the restaurant and the screaming kids around.. poor management

Clean your facilities during the night.. pool restaurant, swimming pool area.. at 10 AM going there and still looking at the mess and dirt… absolutely not acceptable

Location and garden is very beautiful. Room was very nice and simple,but without any view.

Property was clean and the garden and area around was very beatuiful. Swimming pool was great and we used it to swim in the morning and in the evening. Location is perfect.

It’s felt that the hotel lacks staff, because the waiter tried to be at the bar, which is in a separate room, and to serve meals in the dining room at the same time. There was no view from the room, because there was tall bushes all around.

Not up to standards

Great breakfast and dinner, although the 18€ for breakfast seems excessive. Friendly staff. Great location and beautiful premises.

I requested two single beds, but the our bed was made as one double bed. The spa and the bathroom is full of mold. I can't understand why they are not cleaning it properly... It was quite offputting. Neither the jacuzzi or the sauna was hot enough. Obviously they are trying to cut costs everywhere possible...

Very relaxed setting with good facilities. Spacious rooms and terrace.

In a excellent bathroom it was disappointing that the shower head was broken.

Very beautiful setting clean and peacefull rooms are really great very big and nice decor. Would recommend this restaurant highly x

It's not a big thing but the waiters could clear your breakfast plates etc away when you have finished x we took our own coffee machine but would be better if at least a kettle in room x

Great relaxation.

Beautiful gardens and pool area, absolutely peaceful yet close to beaches and towns of the Costa Brava. Very friendly staff.

The views from the room are a bit limited; it would be nicer to have open views to the field in front.

Awesome

Amazing place. Very good facilities inc spa pool, pool table, swimming pool with lunch by the pool, outdoor bar area, amazing walks through pine forest to the top of the hill - views incredible. Food was good especially breakfast which was all included in the price. Rooms were a great size. Good access to the coast. Basically - a very relaxing place.

Grossly overpriced

Good location. Good large room.

Grossly overpriced. We stayed in mid September and it seemed to be running on a skeleton staff. The room was nice enough but the grounds were becoming a little unkempt. The restaurant was well below the standard expected of a four star hotel. It has the potential to be a good hotel and may be during high season but fell a long way short during our visit. The high charges for this level of service are just outrageous.

Has potential to be lovely but needs huge amount of care, time and money to bring it close to being 4star.

Room was very dirty and had an ant infestation in the corner and up the curtains. Second room wasn’t clean either. Whole place is tired, unkempt and unloved. Weeds everywhere, outdoor furniture untidy with random cushions. Pool area shabby, pool furniture plastic and not as I the photos in the website. Says it’s walking distance of Pals which it isn’t. Says it’s 3km from the beach which it isn’t it’s about 11km to nearest beach. Description says each room has a view which it doesn’t as the patio are looks onto a big hedge. Overall totally underwhelming and disappointing.

Very welcoming, polite, helpful.. good sized rooms, lovely breakfast, nice grounds, quiet..

Tea/coffee making facilities in the room would be nice, but that's about it...

Lovely location room was very good. Staff were excellent. Location was an easy walk from Pals which is a very interesting and attractive town.
